Title:Professor</br> Research Interests: Fiber Energy Devices
Bo Zhang , Professor of the Department of Macromolecular Science of Fudan University, he is the regular researcher of the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Engineering of Polymers, doctoral supervisor, supervisor of “Fudan Superior PhD Program”, deputy director of Shanghai Integrated Energy System Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technology Research Center, Distinguished Professor of Young Changjiang Scholars from the Ministry of Education, Chief Scientist of Major National Projects, expert in the field of National Major Projects 14th Five-Year Plan. He is an expert in the field of national major projects, and has won the honors of Young Talents jointly funded by the Ministry of Equipment Pre-Research and Education, Shanghai University Distinguished Professor (Oriental Scholar), Shanghai Youth Top Talent, and Young Science and Technology Star in Shanghai.
In recent years, some exploratory work has been done in the fields of clean energy conversion and local microstructure catalytic chemistry. He proposed the concept of localized micro-structure catalytic active region, it is considered that heterogeneous catalytic process is more inclined to multi-atom synergistic activity region catalysis than single active site catalysis. Furthermore, the universal synthesis method of atom-level uniformly dispersed polymetallic amorphous catalyst for constructing active region was pioneered. The first solid-liquid electrochemistry in-situ soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy platform under ultra-high vacuum was built, and the solid-liquid electrochemistry in-situ near atmospheric pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy test was realized for the first time, revealing a number of electrocatalytic conversion mechanisms. The developed high efficiency catalyst was successfully verified on industrial electrolysis equipment.
So far, Professor Zhang has published nearly 80 high-level research papers in several international academic journals indexed by SCI, including 2 Science, 2 Nature, 1 Nat. Chem., 1 Nat. Catal., 1 Nat. Energy, 3 Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., 4 Adv. Mater., 1 J. Am. Chem. Soc., etc., applied for 9 Chinese patents and 1 US patent. He has created a number of world records for catalytic performance of electrolytic water and electric dioxide reduction, and is responsible for the research and development of products of new-type electrolytic water, CO2 electroreduction, and new-type batteries.
